LifeStraw® Play is the first water filtration bottle for kids that removes lead and offers expanded protection to them when filling up at home, at school or even in a river!

How it works

The LifeStraw® Play bottle incorporates 2-stage filtration with a sturdy leak-proof design. The award-winningLifeStraw® hollow fiber membrane water filter removes bacteria and protozoa from lakes, streams to ensure safe drinking water at home, at school, while traveling or outdoors. The second stage uses a replaceable activated carbon capsule to improve taste, reduce chlorine, and reduce organic chemical matter for up to 100 liters (26 gallons).

The LifeStraw® technology has been independently tested and certified to meet EU directive 10/2011 and EU directive 1935/2004 regulatory standards.

This water bottle is fantastic. It is well built, looks great, and has a lifestraw inside. It is nice to know that if my son fills up at the water fountain, he is filtering out all the germs and crud that lives on an elementary school fountain. Water flow is impressive, and he has no problem drawing a drink from the bottle. The spout is a nice soft silicone, and the entire thing is very easy to disassemble for cleaning.

Good for camping My four year old thinks this great. Its filtering system is fine for camping or freshwater sources in the US. It would probably be fine for survival pack. However, I am not sure I would trust the filter for use in third world countries. I would buy a higher level filter for that type of use. It is just the right size for a child. It separates the clean water from the unfiltered water so they aren't contaminating one another. Overall, I am happy with the size, quality and design of this for domestic use or local survival type scenarios.

Fantastic filter water bottle for kids! Love this kids filter bottle- my 5-year-old nephew uses it without problems and is asking great questions about water. Flow rate doesn't seem to be an issue and he loves the designs that he can change on the top lid- he even draws his own. His mother doesn't have to worry about the quality of water at school anymore.

Cute and compact I travel a lot and don’t always have access to the best water. This little bottle changed that! So easy to clean, fill, and drink from. I love the mouth peice too. I was looking for a bottle that wasn’t so big, I could throw it in my purse or clip it to a backpack when travelling. It’s a perfect size even for an adult!

Lifestraw is the best! Life straw is the only filter I trust. I love the fact that they make bottles now too! Perfect in every way.

Convenient and easy We have purchased the lifestraws before. Compared to them, this seems even easier for the kids. It has a nice size bottle, an easy way to fill the bottle and keep the dirty water separate from the clean---the cap will stay on the drinking portion while the bottom unscrews to fill up. Cute little cap design that has several discs to choose from for the kids. The instructions are clear and easy to use. It is a good size for a child to fill, hold and drink. Convenient. Although I could not find anywhere on the product or packaging where it was made the website stated Made in South Korea.

Highly recommended We got these to fly to California to take the kids to Disneyland. They were perfect for travelling. You can dump the water out before going through the TSA checkpoints, then refill them at any water fountain or sink after the checkpoint without worrying if the kids can safely drink the water. I have no idea how much money they saved us in drinking water at Disneyland, but since we just refilled them with tap water throughout the day, I can tell you that it adds up quickly. They bottles are small enough for small hands to control and not heavy enough to be an issue. My only gripe is that the large filtration system takes up a good percentage of the interior volume which means that refills have to be frequent because there is less water in there than it seems like there should be. Thankfully, since you can refill them anywhere, it was easy. We liked them so much that my wife got the full size version and I bought the Nalgene converting kit from the same company. Highly recommended.
